Could humans be selectively bred, like dogs, to create 2 subspecies that can no longer have offspring? Do I not understand selective breeding properly? Im not worried about the moral implications, just the science please.

It would be extremely difficult, as humans will have sex with anyone, or indeed anything. We bred with Neanderthals. Different racial groups of humans interbred whenever they came into contact, even at the same time as trying to wipe each other out. And humans have a long history of anecdotal bestiality. It is reckoned more than 10% of all children are from a different father than claimed. Keeping us from messing up the attempt to selectively breed would be almost impossible.
Yes, if we abandoned all ethics, and had enough force to control people to that extent that could be done.
